    Returns, Refunds & Warranty

    We want every Chair In The Air experience to feel like a little piece of Fiji arriving at your door. If something isn't right, we're here to make it right — the Fijian way: warmly, honestly, and without fuss.

    Quick summary

    Change-of-mind returns: 30 days from delivery. Item must be unused, in original packaging, with proof of purchase. We cover return shipping.
    Damaged or incorrect on arrival: Let us know within 14 days with photos — once confirmed, we'll repair, replace, or refund and cover all return costs.
    Warranty: 10-year workmanship warranty on all Chair In The Air hammock chairs and hammocks.

    Change-of-mind returns (30 days)

    Changed your mind? No worries — it happens. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return an eligible item.

    To be eligible:

    The item is unused, with all tags, parts, and original packaging intact
    You have proof of purchase (order confirmation, receipt, or tax invoice)
    How to start a return:

    Email us at steven.d.lyon@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll reply within one business day with the return address and instructions. We cover return shipping — there's no cost to you.

    Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll issue a refund to your original payment method straight away. Vinaka for your patience while your bank processes the credit — this can take up to 15 business days on their end. If it's been longer than that since our approval email, please reach out and we'll look into it immediately.

    Damaged, faulty, or incorrect items

    Please check your order when it arrives. If anything looks off — damaged, defective, or not quite what you ordered — contact us within 14 days with photos and we'll sort it out right away.

    We'll offer a repair, replacement, or full refund. For confirmed faults or our errors, we cover all return shipping and provide a prepaid label where available. You won't be out of pocket.

    Exchanges

    The quickest way to get what you're after is to place a new order and return the original item under the change-of-mind policy above. That way your replacement is on its way from Fiji while we process the return.

    Warranty — 10 years, because we build things to last

    Every Chair In The Air hammock and hammock chair is handcrafted on Fiji's Coral Coast and warranted against defects in workmanship for 10 years from the date of purchase. That's not a typo — ten years. Under normal use and care, any covered defect will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion.

    We've been making these chairs since 1997 and we stand behind every single one.

    What's covered:
    Manufacturing and workmanship defects — anything that shouldn't fail, but did.

    What's not covered:

    Normal wear and tear over time
    Accident, misuse, or improper installation
    Unauthorised modification or attempted repair
    Use outside our installation and safety guidelines
    Non-domestic or commercial use
    Natural discolouration of timber over time
    The warranty applies to the original purchaser only. Please keep your receipt or tax invoice as proof of purchase.

    To make a warranty claim:

    Email steven.d.lyon@gmail.com with your order number, a brief description of the issue, and photos or video showing the defect. We may ask for the item to be returned for inspection — in that case, the buyer covers postage for the evaluation. If the claim is approved, we'll repair, replace, or refund.     European Union customers

    If your order is delivered within the European Union, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from the date of delivery, for any reason. Items must be unused and in original packaging with proof of purchase. For change-of-mind EU returns, return shipping is typically your responsibility. For faulty or incorrect items, we cover it once confirmed.
